What is Vibe Thinking?

Why It Matters

Vibe coding is the developer-level behavior: prompt, generate, eyeball, ship. Vibe thinking is the same posture at organizational scale: the team saw a demo, the demo was impressive, and adoption happened by momentum rather than design. The output is predictable. Code generation accelerates while requirements, review, testing, and governance stay where they were, so the organization produces volume its pipeline was never built to absorb.

How It Shows Up

Demo-driven adoption. The tool gets bought on the strength of a generated demo, and the pipeline question gets asked after the licenses are signed.

Volume without review. PRs arrive faster while reviewer capacity stays flat, so the review queue becomes the sprint’s real bottleneck and the place defects slip through.
